  Dr Kerry Woodcock is the first woman in the UK to give birth using a hypnotherapy technique developed in the US. She endured a 24 hour labour without pain. Kerry, a 28 year old lecturer from Wigton, Cumbria, believes childbirth does not have to be a painful experience for anyone. She opted for a 'HypnoBirth' and has very positive memories of giving birth to her 8lb 12 oz baby daughter Lana Beth at home. She lives with her partner Rupert, an engineer in London.
